I had the opportunity to work with David over the past two years. What a wonderful, kind man. He was always there to help and provide guidance on how to get the job done. My heart goes out to his family for losing him at such a young age.

I have always treasured the times we had as kids living it up in Stamford. I tell my friends of the fun times we had skiing at jiminy peak on Thursday nites many times. Dave was there for me many times including a ride home from the hospital when I had an unfortunate skiing "incident" and standing up for me at my wedding. I am very sorry for your loss, he was a great guy, a good friend and will be missed. Audie Wylde

My best memory of Dave as a person is that of a man who was compassionate, easy going, had culinary inclination, and a wonderful love for his wife, Maria. He was a man who inspired others to have passion for life. I remember him throwing fun home parties for his friends and coworkers. He took time to pursue Alaskan adventures. As a coworker, he enjoyed sharing his knowledge. I think David also knew and lived what is truly important in life. My heartfelt prayers for strength to his family as they rebuild their lives without David.

I worked with Dave for several years, trying to improve sanitation conditions in Adak. He was a good man, and I appreciated his expertise. My great sympathy to his family.

Little brother: I miss you so much. Thank you for making that trip from Texas to Boulder all those years ago. It was the start of our friendship as adults, and that friendship has been such a treasure. Thank you for ensuring we all got along, and leading us to share so much laughter together. Our parents may have made us a family, but you kept us a family.

For someone who loved life as his smile shows, may the words of Revelation Chapter 21 verse 4 provide some relief; it reads: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor paid be anymore. The former things have passed away."

I used to tell people that David was like the little (but very cool) younger brother I wished I had. Fun to work with and socialize with as well. So sorry to the family for your tremendous loss. I feel lucky that I got to be his friend and will miss him.

David left a lasting inpression on all his friends. I had the provledge of being his friend and colleague. Was a solution oriented professional who always was there when needed. He was always up to the minute on everything. I really feel blessed to cross paths with him! Ed and Vicki DeNoyelles (kodiak Island)

A very good person, a caring compassionate fun and mischievious friend & co-worker, missed very much. Saddness mixed with feeling grateful for the shared times. Will treasure the spark of his life in the memories I carry with me. Love and compassion to all family and friends.

Without a doubt Dave was one of the best people I ever had a chance to work with. We endured some rough times in the Arctic, but he kept a smile on his face and passed his good attitude on to all his friends.
