I served in the Alaska Legislature with John. He was truly a remarkable Legislator. John understood and love serving the voters in Alaska. I will always remember the memories and friendship we shared as fellow Alaskans Legislators. I will truly miss my friend and pray that he is now at rest. My prayers are extended to the family during this time of your loss. Walt Furnace
I met John when I worked in the legislature. He was always a kind gentleman towards me and enjoyed sharing his favorite music with me. I will never forget how much he truly adored Juanita and loved each member of his family. That is what I will remember when I think of him.
Still have a lot of great memories of growing up next to John and his family. He will be missed. Our prayers are with Juanita and the family.
My heartfelt condolences, sent with love and remebrance of Uncle John. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Love Patricia
I cary many of life lessons that I learned from John into my own life. He and his family have had a profound effect on my life and I miss him so very much. His chuckle, his wide eyes listening as you tell a story and his gentle touch to a childs hand.
John was a good man and a hard worker for the State of Alaska. He was always willing to listen to people and would enjoy conversations about legislation. May he rest in peace.
Juanita and family our prayers are with you. The Ward family have known your family since the early 1950's. We all can be thankful for the good memories we have as Alaskans. John will be missed however it is a comfort to know John is with our Lord and Savior. God Bless you. Senator Jerry Ward and Family
My husband, Clarence L (Dusty) Rhoades, who passed over Sept 2007, water walked with John at the "Y" for years. They enjoyed their time of exercise, along with other friends. He did a lot for Alaska, just like Senator Stevens.
