Hi everyone,

Jean (mom) and I want to thank you for all of your kind wishes and remembrances. I know some of you because I graduated from East in '75. I went by my nickname "Patrrr."

Jean and I have made plans to come up to Anchor-town from 7/11/13 - 7/18/13 in order to scatter Jack's (dad's) or "Coach Pete's" ashes. We hope to see some of you then, if possible.

Please let your aunt know she is in our heart and prayers. Many say time heals all I don't always believe that but what I do know is laugher and memories do help with healing. So Jean laugh to heal and know coach is laughing with you. All the best... Pat Mullis Hopkins

Diane: no postings since January. Aunt Jean called me today to tell me how much she is missing my uncle. We have his ashes in her place with her, insurance taken care of etc. She now has "thinking time" as she put it. She was crying. Your posting occurred. Thank you Uncle Pete-you are with us.

I will always remember his encouragement in weight training, xc running and track. The pre game prayers left a forever mark on my heart. Miss you, Coach Pete.

Mrs. Peterson, I am just another one "Coach Pete" positively influenced as I knew him as a student. As many have mentioned here, he kept it "real" and there was no question that he cared for you as a person and as a student. I pray you find comfort in your loss, knowing that his life made a difference to many. May God Bless You.

I remember Coach Pete fondly at East Anchorage High School, as a coach, teacher, and inspirational individual at East H. S. My sincere condolences to all his family. You touched many lives Coach Pete!

To this day, I still remember the name Coach Pete gave my three older sibling and myself. "Stewballs"(aka Stewman). You will always be remembered as one of the best P.E. teachers I had at East High School. RIP...
