Hey Ryan..I just saw that early evening at outback and the bartender said that you were a frequent nice customer, and I said say hi to your mom and dad ... it was good seeing you and I almost did not recognized u..lol..and u said your name .. then today I was so schocked that you decided to be with the Lord ... I was so saddened with the news .. and also felt sad for the love ones u left behind ... I only knew you a bit ... and enjoyed being part of the Casa Vargas noche buena dinner every year.. except this year ... hope everything goes well up there .. you are in heavenly peace ..

Ryan, You were always a great friend to me even though we haven't been able to see each other for a few years but we always kept in contact via phone calls, text and facebook. You have always been there! You will always be remembered as the happy go lucky guy whom everyone loved! I am praying for you, your friends, family and those three beautiful girls. The Lord sure does work in mysterious ways but Step-Dad was right today about Ryan being with The Lord now!

To a great ball player who I remember watching play when I was younger.. I stared in amazement, on the edge of my seat while I watched Ryan Freel play for the Cincinnati Reds. Norma, Pat and Freel family...I'm so sorry to hear of Ryan's passing. May you find peace and comfort in the days ahead. During Ryan's playing days he made great conversation for my dad Armando and Tio Raul. My siblings and I still have the autographed baseball Ryan signed and Pat gave my dad. RIP Ryan
