I've known Ina since I've known Drew and Iain...since about 2nd grade. I'm going to be 64 in December. I loved Ina very much and still do. She offered me her car with the studded snow tires after she couldn't get ahold of Drew who was down in Cooper Landing with the Odom's. Too Funny! I always tried to see her when I came back to Anchorage for a visit. I'll Miss her. I used to talk in the Scotish Brogue to her just for fun!

I had the pleasure of helping Ina for 2-3 years and loved to hear her stories/history of her life...I feel so blest that she shared them with me and I was able to record them on paper for her and her family. I have misssed sharing liverwuest sandwichs and tea with her. I am thankful that Margo,Elizabeth,Iaian and Drew trusted me enough to share their mom with me.

Ina was truly one of a kind. I loved her Scottish brogue, it would make anyone smile; although sometimes wasn't always sure of what she was saying. You will be missed by all.

We remember all the good times dancing with you. What a wonderful friend and neighbor. Your toast of life sums it up. "Here's to us, there is none like us." We will think of you often.

For our Auntie Ina, lighting your way home. We truly love you.
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, Im diamond glints on the falling snow.I am the sunlight on the ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rain, When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there I did not die. My spirit is alive.

I had the ultimate pleasure of listening to polka's with her watching her get that Gleam in her eye's music , going shopping with her taking tea with her and sneaking a scottish scone which tickled her so. She was such a true genuine loving woman who embraced all and LOVED her family. I am proud to have called her Aunt Iney......she truly was a gem, and will be sorely missed from us. I will treasure every moment I had with her for she truly made an impact.

I would just like to send my deepest sympathy to the family of Jamesina Reekie. Ina was a sweet woman and just hearing her talk could bring a smile to anyone within hearing distance. Our rides on the bus would almost always consist of a song of her choice. Thank you for sharing your mother with us. We are all better for knowing this lovely lady.
