Mom happy Mother's Day. It is 2016 and time has flown. Dad is doing well but having troubles getting around. You have not had the chance to meet Mia your last grandchild. She is so full of life and happiness. She is quite strong willed which I think will do her well in life. No one will have there way with her. You would have loved to see her and know her. I have your painting with the little car in it hanging above Mias bed. She sleeps every night with the teddy bear you gave me just before you passed away. Dylan still remains a very kind and thoughtful child. He still remembers you. He loves playing soccer and is doing very well with it. Baylin still remains obstinate but still has his beautiful smile when he wants to share it. He has a lot of self discipline. They are all very athletic, smart and motivated children. Also I am so fortunate that they have good health and laugh a lot. We talk about you often. Mia knows who you are too. We miss you so very much , especially this Mother's Day 2016. In two weeks I will be visiting Maraget in SA. It will be nice to see her and talk about you. Love you mom to the moon and back. If your around don't hesitate to let me know❤❤❤❤ Love hugs and kisses

Moms Garden

I took a walk down a gravel road
I came to a trellis painted white
The openings passed into a special place were fairies danced on soft green grass..
This enchanted garden grew giant rogersia that supported lazy gnomes and umbrellad pickies homes..
Beneath, Mushrooms grew red and white painted just for the critters that party only at night…
Across the yard pansies are on parade with multi colored faces dodging in and out of complicated spaces…
Lilies tall and strong always blowing there aroma across the lawn..
Black eyed Susan’s and catmint play …
While dandy lines maneuver between the rocks taking care not to get caught.
Coral bells are everywhere and lady’s mantel to..

This wondrous garden was made by Janet..
And was meant to be enjoyed by you.

In memory of my mommy
written by Jeanine Louise Girard

Inspired by moms beautiful garden and wonderful stories of gnomes and fairies while growing up.

Janet found a special place in my heart. She will be missed but not forgotten. I met Janet threw my work at Dr Conney's office. She was one of a kind.

Janet lived life with such enthusiasm that it was always fun to see her in action. We know that there is a large empty space in your lives where she always stood, but you each have unique and wonderful memories of your years with her, and it just has to make you smile when you call on those memories.

It was inspirational to see how Janet's spirit for life took her well beyond the mere weeks predicted for her almost a year ago. A spirit like hers just has to be nearby still - overseeing and surrounding you with her love.

It was a pleasure to have known her.

Catch A Rusty Star

Catch that rusty star
And make it shine for you,
Though it may not be glowing bright
As if bejeweled and new.

But with insight and effort
And a determined will to right all wrongs,
One day you may set your star Aglowing and your heart will sing a song.

So if tou yearn for stars
That till now just bypassed you,
Catch that rusty star and by your efforts
Make it shine for you.

How you start out
It does not have to depend,
But what you do with your life's star
And how it all does end.

Written By my mom, Janet Bernice Girard. May her poem be heard by many.

Her greatest achievement besides having us was her will to live. She believed in something greater she fought against all odds and has set a new record for surviving Leukemia beyond the opinion of over 12 doctors and numerous medical articles. She was given 3 months to live best case, and she she survived over 9 months. For the most part she had good quality of life and enjoyed and achieved many things in her last months.

I am so proud of you mom
You are my inspiration my hero….
I will never forget you.

Inspired by her 7 year old grandson Dylan...I am in the early stages of building a web page in hopes to inspire and comunicate with others with Leukemia. The sites name will be called, "Hand Of hope for Leukemia Research"..Items will be sold and 60% of all profit will go to Leukemia research.
