To this day, I still remember the name Coach Pete gave my three older sibling and myself. "Stewballs"(aka Stewman). You will always be remembered as one of the best P.E. teachers I had at East High School. RIP...

I was seriously injured in 1980 during a Varsity Hockey Game, I remember coming to and getting my vision back. Coach Pete was kneeling over me telling me everything would be okay. His voice and words put me at ease because Coach would never tell us something that was not true. Of course he was right because I made a full recovery. Coach you will be missed. Jean my deepest condolences. The Thunderbird family has lost one of it's finest. East Hockey 79-82

As an athlete at East, Coach "Pete" bestowed upon me the nickname "Bulldog". I was a girl and on the small side but the old football coach in him appreciated my tenacity and inability to back down. I remember walking down the hall and hearing "Bulldog" growled out, I'd look over there would be Coach "Pete" grinning at me with that twinkle in his eyes. What an honor to know him. My condolences to his wife and family.

Coach "Pete" - Thanks for teaching me about Geography, "a can do attitude", a swift kick when needed, and the joy of playing for you in football and hockey. I will hopefully see you some day and we can talk about how you would still like to thump Will Sharp on the head between shifts.

My sincere condolences to the Peterson family.
