Always missing you, Dad. Life just isn't the same without you here to talk to. Thanks for loving me and for always believing in me. You gave me support and respect. You were such a unique, intelligent and interesting Father who had so much wisdom. You never worried what others thought of you, you just played your shot and moved forward in life. One day .... Your loving daughter, Therese

My step dad and I hunted with Joe for the last time on the peninsula. He was a wonderful guide and a great story teller. He loved his children/family very much. He was thankful to God for his life. God Bless you Joe, Peace be with your spirit. Brian Clark and Allen Simpilaar.

First met Joe in 1966 on the porch of the Wrangell Mountain Lodge. He was fresh out of the service, by the looks of his military clothing, and I was the new camp boy. We enjoyed a long acquaintance as Alaska's senior and junior Maser Guides.

I was one of a group that routinely played golf with him these last few years. He will be missed by us.

Therese, Wow! Your dad lived a more than full life. Oh, that we all could accomplish so much during our earthly lives. Now, he must be asking the angels to help them do their work, as guardians to all of us. We both will keep you and your family in prayer during your period of bereavement.
