Dear Gretchen,
I only learned of Jerry's death via Lillian's Facebook posting which I did not see until Monday AM. I had always hoped that you would come to Ohio with Jerry on one of his periodic journeys back to the Kurtz homestead here.
Sad that we must meet in this way. Jerry's visits here will be missed. I still remember meeting him for the first time when he came to Cleveland with the Princeton Triangle Club Show orchestra many years ago. Because we are only 2 years apart in age we have always been closer than most second cousins might otherwise be. Perhaps the fact that I'm an only child and so was my father (who always considered Jerry's father to be almost like a brother to him) has something to do with that too. It was sure fun to see Jerry together with Kathryn and Lloyd's wife and children when they all came to Bucyrus back in 2011. An Ohio welcome is always open to you in the future!
My sympathy together with that of my wife, Donna, goes out to you and the rest of the family. May God give you the needed comfort during this time of loss and sadness.

Very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. We always enjoyed your visits to Colorado, and I will always be indebted to Jerry for passing on Isac Kurtz's leather tools.

Gretchen, I am so sad to hear about Jerry's death. It's been a lot of years knowing Jerry, and you were instrumental in my working in his firm. I will keep him fondly in my heart. Blessings to you now.

Please accept my sincere condolences to the family and friends. Losing a loved one in death is never easy. One day many will have the opportunity to live again. May the hope of everlasting life sustain and comfort you during this difficult time. (John 17:3). When someone you love becomes a memory the memory becomes a treasure in your hearts and it lives forever. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace.
