Words cannot express the shock and sadness that I feel at this moment. Tommy was a great man and it pains me to refer to him in the past tense. We were both Charleston boys that found a way to become Citadel Men. Always kind and willing to go the extra mile for anyone and anything, Tommy would give you the shirt off of his back and more. It is hard to accept this but we must. My heartfelt condolences to his family. To be absent from the body is to be present with Lord. Oscar '97.

Thank you Tommy. You made going to war during OIF tolerable and certainly memorable. Couldn't have asked for a better teammate. You were a phenomenal ASO but more importantly you were just an incredible person who made us laugh. You've left a legacy of love, laughter, and excellence.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Tommy. I still can not believe that he is gone. I am lucky to have known him. Tommy was one of the nicest guys I ever met. I will never forget him. Citadel 97' Tommy you will never be forgotten.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I had the honor of being a friend and Citadel classmate of Tommy's. He was a tremendous man and leader, always quick with a smile and care for those he knew.

Tommy was such a kind and positive guy who you always wanted to stop and have a chat with. His smile may be physically gone from this earth...but it will forever be in our hearts and minds...I just know that he is making God smile and laugh at all his AWACS stories:) He's also probably caught the biggest halibut ever without having to endure tired arms!

My sincere condolences. Find comfort in the God who is close to the brokenhearted.
