A high school friend told me of Malin's passing. I knew Malin in 7th & 8th grade at Holmes Middle School. We lost touch after that. I am not at all surprised to read of her accomplishments & contributions to the world. She sounds like she was a gentle & courageous spirit. I remember very fondly going to Sperryville with Malin's family to the cabin & have loved Sperryville ever since. I very much enjoyed that experience in the country & being with her family. How lovely to know after all these years what a beautiful impact she had on the world. i am sure she will be very much missed by many.

Without Malin in it, the world is a less interesting and fun and hopeful place. I hardly knew her, but she inspired me - and I came to think of her and Jeffrey as friends. She was humble, brave, hopeful and so accomplished. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. I feel cheated that I didn't meet her sooner and under better circumstances.

The loss of a love one is very devastating, at sometimes we don't know where to turn, Thankful we are to God, we can reach out to him in prayer, please read Psalms 65:2, it tell us that all will go to the “Hearer of prayer”.

I am shocked and saddened at Malin's passing. We worked together doing her TV journalism days and through laughter and sarcasm about the industry, kept each other sane. I will miss her spirit, truth and honesty.

Prayers and thoughts for Malin, I had the opportunity to work at KAKM with her. She did great work and the passion came out in her productions. Prayers also to the family and friends!

A poem for Malin Jennings

Polar Girl

Frozen seas know your footstep
hold its resonance
send its message
through ice
to water
which travels
through everything
through all of us.

The hum of the Universe
has your essence woven into it
forever

With Love,
CS
