Dear Keith and Olga,
Marina's beauty, grace and intelligence drew us to her at first meeting. We enjoyed the times we spent over the years with Marina, Keith and the circle of friends in Anchorage. Marina was always a vibrant part of those gatherings. While we are unable to attend the celebration of life for Marina, please know that you are in our thoughts and that Marina will always reside fondly in our memories.

Many fond memories from 1990s of Marina assisting U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in communicating and establishing friendships with Russian colleagues working on polar bears, walrus, sea otters, and migratory birds. Marina was a person of great talent, whose presence was always felt and highly valued.

We were very saddened to hear of the loss of Marina. We have fond memories of our time with the two of you on the boat in the Virgin Islands in 1995. Our thoughts are with you and Olga. Bob and Joan

Dears Keith & Olga ... Sending hugs and love, and we'll be with you in spirit at the celebration next week (out of town); Marina was most definitely a sparkling bright light to all she met. May time heal your sadness and may the comforts of memories and friends surround you...

Lovely memories of meeting Marina in the early 90's when she was doing translating for American and Russians who were delighting in Peristroika and getting to know one another. She was an important part of bringing Rotary to Russia. Her daughter Olga was a skilled pianist at a young age and Marina was so proud of her. Olga played as pianist for my church for awhile when she was in high school. I always looked forward to seeing them and catching up with Olga's new achievements. Marina made a difference for many people.

What a beautiful obituary for a beautiful person. I am happy to have known Marina briefly; my late husband Gene Burden loved and respected her greatly.
