So many great memories when he came to play with the sox and his days with the yankees. Really thought he was a kids player, thats why we all liked him so much.

Moose, I remember how proud my Grandpa Joe was when you finally came to play for the Sox. He said a "Good Polish Kid from the Northside, and a Yankee kegend to boot.. Thats what the Sox need!!" Take care Moose, we will all miss you.

What a great player and an all-around class guy. I member whenever he would hit a home run in clutch situations, Mel Allen, the Yankee announcer, would scream, "The Moose is loose!"

Moose was my first and still my only sports hero growing up in New Jersey in the 60's. When my son graduated medical school in 2000 we tracked him down at his retaraunt. He sat with us for 2 hours and signed all my Moose baseball cards. When we left I took his coffee mug which still sits on my bookshelf today. That day I was 50 but felt like a teenager. Now I'm 62 and feel like a hundred with this sad news. Rest in peace Moose. You were loved

I grew up watching Moose bang that ball to right at the Stadium and often think of those boys back then. I think of them as ballplayers who played for the love of the game and not necessarlly gobs of cash. Slowly but surely, MY Boys of Summer are fading away. Mantle, Maris, Boyer, Howard, Stafford,Blanchard...all heros of mine. And now Moose has left us! A sad day! For me and the New York Yankees.

I remember being sick (or so I told my parents) so I could stay home from first and second grade to watch the Yankees and Braves in the '57 and '58 World Series on TV, which were then played during the day. I can still hear Mel Allen's voice calling the game and talking about Moose's great achievements. R.I.P. Moose, you gave much joy to so many in your time here. Thank you and may your family take comfort in the great pleasures you gave to so many. May God bless you all.

I still remember watching him play at 1st. base and standing in the batters box in --he was something 'else'.
My sympathies to his family.
May Moose rest in God's eternal peace.

I'm sorry for the loss to the Skowron family . Moose was a great guy very kind and giving to all . It was an honor to meet him and call him a friend . I met him thru Art Kennah who was a personal friend of Moose . Moose made a big impression on me . Always doing for others . He will be sorely missed ! What a great ball player he was . May he Rest In Peace .
