Pat and I taught next door to each other at Northwood for a few years. We discovered we had some things in common besides being teachers. We both were originally from Kansas and the same Valentine Birthdays. We exchanged birthday cards for years after we left Alaska. Pat was always willing to help whenever or wherever needed.

Ms. Pat and I had coming to Alaska in the same year, 1969 and ending up teaching together at the same school, Willawaw Elementary, we shared the same friend, Pat Rapp, and between the two Pats, they were great role models to me in the classroom. Our friendship remained throughout my teaching career, having her daughter as a co-worker later in the 1980's at Nunaka Valley Elementary, where Ms. Pat would come and help out in her daughter Donna's classroom. I will never forget you playing at my retirement banquet sweet and soft music thought the affair. Thanks Pat for your friendship, your guidance and support.
My prayer to Donna and family that the great memories will always stay alive in your heart. She will be missed.

Ms. Pat was a wonderful friend, first to my mother Gene Saunders, and then to the rest of us. She became an adopted family member. I will miss her joining us for birthday cake and celebrations, and meeting for coffee--she loved mochas, I will miss her straightforward no-nonsense attitude tempered with kindness. We think of her at Great Alaska Shootout time. Ms. Pat was a friend to all ages. Our 13 year old son said "Miss Pat always treated me like a grandchild." We will miss her, but remember her with smiles. Stacey Saunders, Michael and Aaron Cohn.

Pat was a wonderful, faithful and a very appreciated member of Denali #16 OES. We miss her very much. I miss seeing her smiling face and willing support. A great Christian lady.

Ms Pat, such a longtime volunteer pianist and organist for musical activities at Baxter Elementary. Donna began helping her out the last few years. What a beautiful obituary to honor her and celebrate her life. Sharon House-Nasti

Pat brought Joy into the lives of so many. She was a real professional and touched our lives with special kindness. Her memory lives on in our hearts.

Missing our long time neighbor. Ms Pat may heaven be the place where your organ plays on and on and on!
Rest In Peace
