Jackie Marie Elliott, 83, passed away on Oct. 29, 2016, at Providence Horizon House in Anchorage, Alaska. Jackie was born on Aug. 12, 1933, in Marietta, Okla., to Leonard and Avis Ezell. Jackie moved to Alaska in 1967, making Anchorage her lifelong home. Before making the big move to Alaska, Jackie was employed by Klines in Rush Springs, Okla., from 1960-1967. Upon arriving in Anchorage, Jackie worked for Alaska Welding Supply from 1970-1977; Big Three Lincoln of Alaska from 1977-1997; and Aire Liquide from 1997 until her retirement in 2014.
Jackie was a devoted Catholic and attended church at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. She was a member of the American Society of Women Accountants and the National Association of Female Executives, and was a notary public for the State of Alaska. In her spare time you could find her working on a crossword puzzle or a word search. She loved dogs and was an avid reader of mystery novels.
Jackie is survived by her two brothers, James Ezell of Tulsa, Okla., and Eddie Ezell of Duncan, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Avis Ezell.
Memorial services for Jackie will take place on Nov. 4, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 2901 Huffman Road in Anchorage, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Father Tom Lilly will be officiating.
Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
