Doreen and Marti, It was a pleasure to know both your parents over the last few years. Chapel By The Sea was blessed by their generous giving of themselves. Their love and joy for each other was a special remembrance I have of them. They will be missed. I know they loved the Lord and are rejoicing with each other in the Lord's presence. What a wonderful hope and peace to all of us who know Christ as our Lord and Savior. You are both in our thoughts and prayers. Steve and Sue Francis

Dear Doreen,

Years ago I had the pleasure of meeting both your parents when I worked at a local law firm in Anchorage.
They were such lovely people, kind and considerate in every way. I was so touched by their closeness towards each other. Your Mom invited me to drop by, so I brought them a meal and some cookies. Your Dad's eyes lit up when he saw the cookies for dessert that night. Your Mother was a very smart business woman and so creative and talented.
I saw them both a few times after that, then upon hearing of your Mother's death, I didn't see your Dad again. Just knowing how close they were and how much they worried about each other, it certainly would have been a tuff year for him since her death.

I'm very sorry for your loss, though I hope your memories of your Mom and Dad will bring you peace of mind and that comfort from the scriptures, such as Rev 21:3,4 will help too.

It was a pleasure meeting them both.
They were a fine couple.

Regards,
Dashelle

I am Doreen, Randy's daughter. Welcome to his guest book page. Daddy's passing was so unexpected to us, but I guess it shouldn't have been. Since Mother's death in January 2009 he had been very lonely and talked frequently of when he would go Home to be with her. Thank you for stopping by and adding your memories of our dad. Marti and I both appreciate it.
