I came across Rick's obituary trying to track him down to ask for help, which he certainly would have given. I am so sorry that he is gone. The world is a bit dimmer without him even though its been years now since the last time we bumped into each other on the bike path. My sincere condolences to Teresa and the kids.

I only just learned of Rick's passing. The legacy page truly captures Rick's exuberant love of life and generosity of spirit. I'm so lucky to have seen Rick and the family a number of years ago during their DC visit, and to have met Teresa way back in Seattle and even visit briefly in Anchorage so many years ago. Life goes too fast but Rick showed us all how to wring everything possible out of the time we are given. Teresa, Kaylin and Noah, Rick's spirit for life lives with us all. I will treasure the memories and in his spirit will seek to do even more to embrace life. Take care. (2711 East Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23223)

I just happened upon Rick's obituary quite by accident. I was on the same P-3 crew with Rick... including two deployments. What a great guy! I'm sorry to learn of his passing.

I met Rick through our mutual use of Bike Fridays. I will be arriving in Boston during the celebration of his life today. I will hold him in my thoughts as we land.

My condolences to the Zimmer family. Rick & I were in VP46 together and often rode bikes in the Bay area, including a double century ride benefitting the American Cancer Society that he talked me into.

So sad to hear the news. Rick and I were roommates in the navy. Always upbeat and fun. Condolences to his family.

I knew Rick and his family through my husband Pat. What a blessing. He enriched our lives with his kindness, his love of adventure and sharing His family with ours. He will always be in our hearts

The obituary tells of a great person with a life well lived and one who gave much. The world was a better place for Rick's presence. My prayers and condolences to the family.
