I was only able to spend a short time with Mr. Bain. I fished a summer on the Donelle B with Alan and Mr. Bain went out on a king opener with us. I was also able to attend my grandfathers birthday the same year and Mr. an Mrs. Bain were in attendance. I only know the incredible admiration and respect that Allen and my family had for Mr. Bain. He gave me a something to strive for. He showed me that we can be better than ourselves.
You will be missed Mr. Bain.

Dear Bain family,
My sincerest condolences to all of you. One of the great memories in my life was the honor of breaking bread a time or two with Mr. Bain and his wonderful family. My wife and I hope you will find comfort in the belief that now he is now truly at peace. And also catching up on a lot of lost time with his "Brother", my dad and the many others whom have passed before him. Take care and know many share your grief at this moment.
Most respectfully,
Pete & Laurie Toye

Mrs. Bain and Family:
Our hearts go out to you on the loss of an extraordinary man. Mr. Bain was an honorable and well respected gentleman and we feel so fortunate to have met him and your family. Please know we're thinking of you and without a doubt he has been reunited with his "Band of Brothers". Take great care!

Mr. Bain was my sixth grade teacher at Inlet View Elem. in 1967. For some reason, I have strong and good memories of him (although he seemed quite exasperated with us). He was a kind man, and kind to me. My condolences to his family, and my thanks for his service, as both a soldier and a teacher, to our country!
