Miss you Dad.

Tomorrow will be APRIL FOOLS DAY and starting of you being gone 5months, hard to believe, still can't. And I wish it was just an april fools joke. Keep in touch with a few of your/our friends. Sharing our memories, always a laugh or two. Spring is coming, snows a melting. I can hear you telling me, 'roadtrip, hon, roadtrip...alcan is calling my name.' Well the road is calling, and I will be headed out this weekend. Miss you so much. You will always be with me, everywhere. As someone told me a while back, "You will never let him go!" No, not now, never yet. I feel and know you are watching over things here and those you loved. I visualize you fishing with your mom and brother and dad. Brings a smile...Miss your phone calls at 10:30am, 1pm and as you were headed home. Miss your voice..just miss you all the way around. darlene

Already March 1st, going on 4 months since you were taken from us. Seems like it was just yesterday. Missing you terribly, just wanting to talk with you, share with you. You knew my heart and I yours. Each day is a new day but it still hurts. Love and miss you so...

Wow - today is the last day of 2009 and so much has transpired in just these past two weeks alone. Thinking of you, my love, and how we would be bringing in a New Year again. January 1st will be a hard day for me as you will have been gone starting 3 months now. Everyone says to let you go, start over, move on and it goes on and on. Easier said than done. I know in my heart you want me to go on and I will, when it is time for me too. Soon it will be all over so I am told by loved ones. Suppose to be a spectecular moon tonight..you would have loved taking me up the hillside and us watching it and the fireworks. Gonna miss that. Now you have an up close and personal view that will be displayed. I can just see your smile, your sparklin eyes as you watch. Well my love, just stopping by to chat..as I celebrate out with the old and in with the new...I will know your love surrounds me always and will feel your presence. I am happy you are celebrating a new year and life in Heaven. All my love.

As Christmas draws nearer in just a few days I am remembering a man of character, a man who would be the first to help anyone, a man who could and would bring you back to earth. I am remembering the past Christmas' we had together and with family. Good memories and it is this that will get me through losing my best friend, my lover, and my companion in everything. I miss him so much, there are no words to describe it. I know that he is watching over each of us and in a special way. God put him in my path and I in his for so many years for a reason. Only in the path that God created for us will I know why he was taken too soon. Emotions of pain run high and then low and I know that someday it will be easier. Still my heart hurts for his loved ones left behind and I will continue to love them and pray that the Holy Spirit comforts them each day.
I came across a saying by George Carlin and I believe it to fit Ron "Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, worn out, shouting 'HOLY - WHAT A RIDE!"

Jill, Jodi, Dave, & Charlee Marie,

We are so sorry for your loss. Words cannot heal the pain of losing someone so dear. May God give you the strength to overcome the pain and sorrow.

I am so honored that I was able to have known Ron. He was a great man.... The type of man that left an impression on the people he met. He was a heck of a truck driver with the sense of humour and no non-sense attitude to go with it. He will be missed very much and will live on in our hearts forever.

You were all very important to him, especially his girls.................
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. Ron would want you to all carry on with your lives, as hard as that may be, but know he will be watching and waiting over you until you are joined together again in Heaven.

"Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear"

May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. Sharing in your sorrow with love and friendship

Mom, Jill, Jodi, Charlee, and Dave,

I'm sorry about this great loss. He was a good man and will be greatly missed. All the wonderful smart remarks hoping you were witty enough to come back, the joking, the talks. To have had a chance to know him was an honor. Know that you will always be a part of our family.
