Hi Chance!
Yes, my world here is busy, but I think of you often. I got a call from Uncle Jim over the winter, who got me caught up on you - Dad died back in 2010, but Mother is now at en-of-life. They've both been with me in my home since 2007. I have staff to assist, but I'm on-duty as soon as I get home from work and on the weekends. I still work with Mayor Sullivan, who is running for Lt. Governor here in Alaska in the November Election. I'll stay with him, on his team if we have a successful election.
I have a box of precious things Storm left for you. A couple of nice photos, some of her writing, long locks of her hair - I've been waiting, and they're all in a special protected spot in my house, waiting until I get a break (I have no breaks) and get down there.
LOVE YOU, miss you,
Mary

Hello Chance,

I have often thought of you over the years. Your mother and I were cousins, near and dear, and I miss her greatly. I knew your father as well. We had the pleasure of going to Mexico and other fun adventures. I hope that you would allow me to be able to build a relationship with you as you grow. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. None of us had any idea that your father had passed away. We are all in shock.
With Love,
Tarina

Hi Chance. I did not know your dad well. I did know your mom very well. We grew up together in Groveland. I saw you when you were very young 3-4 months old. You were such a cute baby and your mom just adored you. Hope you are well. I just got this news about your father and I am soo sorry. I know they are both together and so proud of you. I hope one day to meet you. Bless you and may your heart heal in time.

Chance,
Your father and I grew up together from an early age through High School. Even though our careers took us in different directions I often thought of Sam and relived some of the fondest memories of my life.
I hope one day to have the honor of meeting you. If you are anything like your father I'm sure you have very proud grand parents, aunts and uncles.
My most sincere regard and condolences go out to you and your family.

Hello Chance: I knew your father from work here on the slope. I worked with him on many different projects. He was always up for a challenge and offered help and assistance any time i needed it. You should be proud as hell of your dad, as everyone I know who knew him held him in high reguard and loved him as a brother. I know you will look to the heavens often and think of him, so take to heart the knowledge that he too will be looking down and checking in on you also. Sam was very proud of you. God be with you son and grow to be the man he wanted you to be.

I worked with Sam for a few years and considered him thoughtful, entertaining, knowledgeable, and a friend. He will be missed. And for his son Chance, May God be with you always.

I worked with Sam in Prudhoe-bay Alaska. He and his late wife Stormy lived with me for a couple weeks during her cancer. I was home brewing at the time so in appreciation they had a set of beer glasses etched with my name. I still have them and every time I have a beer I grab one of those glasses with the memory of there kindness. I toast to you!! Dave Duerr
