Sean, though I only met you one time, you are unforgettable. Having worked with your widow, I came to know of your passion for fishing, and the great out of doors in Alaska. When you told me of the pain in your life related to your dad, I remember thinking how life changing that can be. Not believing in God, I will not pray for you, but realize that your pain is at least gone now. Time will help the lives of your survivors, and hopefully break the cycle. Best wishes to the family, friends, and loved ones of a good man.

The flowers in the picture were grown by the love of MY life. Shared with you.

Dear Sean,
over the years we had so many good times!
You are still one of my best friends.
We fished like it was going out of style!
So many great memories!
You will be missed.

Sean,

I have many memories from high school that involve the phrase "Sean did what?!?". From 720 degree jumps successfully landed to the injuries incurred when it didn't quite work, high speed runs down Tudor in the middle of the night, and other mischief! I remember spontaneous songs and infectious smiles. I never quite remembered how it came to be that a Service guy infiltrated our little Bartlett group, but we were all lucky to be your friend.

I'm glad we got a chance to reconnect a little through the miracle of modern technology, so I was able to call you friend again. You were a bright star for all who knew you, and surely the world is just a tiny bit dimmer without you in it. Rest in Peace, friend. You will be missed, and never forgotten.

I am the "annoying little sister" of one of Sean's friends from Anchorage. Even being much younger than them Sean never made me feel left out when he was at our place for parties or hanging out with others.

I remember hearing the story of the "ride he doesn't remember" through the Cabbage Patch at Alyeska that led to an injury following a 780 turn. To me this made him a super hero!

He was born for the outdoors and loved being on the water in its many forms.

Sean will be missed by many and the Lunch Bunch will leave a seat for him at the table.

RIP Sean

Sean…..it's been a while since we were in touch. I've heard about your life through the family though, so that helped keep me a little in touch with you. I stopped down at the car lot many times when I was in town to say hello, but kept missing you.

There are so many things I remember us doing; remember how we used to ride with your lead foot friend in the suburban to get to the Kenai in a little more than an hour?! That was insane, but when you hooked that 70 pound King on the bank and it jumped up in your face, it put things in perspective…that was the King fishing you were explaining to me. Then came the rainbows!

I remember the same full on attitude when we went skiing…god you were crazy, but good! Remember our Pike fishing trip to Mineral Lakes several times and hunting moose in the Salcha? How about ice fishing all those times at Red Shirt? Remember that blizzard?

Remember those moose hunting trips through Tangle Lakes and across the Denali to Cantwell? Remember that 60+incher walking next to your window as we sat in the truck just after dark closing day on the Nenana just out of Cantwell? How about that storm in the trailer out by Gracia's, and the stalk on that moose in the morning for several hours before another hunter shot it?

Remember when we pulled the machines up to Trapper Creek and broke down at 30 below and had to fix the damn truck? How about when we finally got there, ran way out past Mike's gold claim, and had to tow my machine all the way back through the wind and iced trail in the dark. Then we got pulled over because the snow go trailer license plate came up missing. What a day!

Remember when we all went out on snow shoes to get that x-mas tree? How about the Metallica and the other concerts, Warren Miller movies, and Thursday night boxing?

One brother to another, I love you man.
You introduced me to life in Alaska. I won't forget those times, or the person with the personality that everyone remembers. You're the best Sean.

Take care Scully,

Todd Hayes

Scully, my life was changed when you came into my life and introduced me to the "BEAD".
To all of the Scullys,
My heart is breaking for you. My condolences to you all for your terrible loss.
Sean has left me with memory's for a life time. I will never be able to look and "Fly Rod" or the "Bead" again without the precious memory of the Scully, #1 Halibut Wrastler coming to mind. Thank you my friend for those!!
