Remembering Stanley today, also most each and every day, week and month. He lives in my and our heart and minds. We can sure understand how much more so he lives in our creator, Jehovah's, memory. Look forward to the welcoming party, which is "just around the corner" !

For Stan,

When you work with someone and watch that person you soon learn a lot about them; how they treat people, the quality and pride they take in their work, etc. I try to learn from everyone. But, when you find a gem you want to pay particular attention and learn all you can. Stan was a gem!! Working with Stan on jobs over the years taught me the tips and tricks of the trades. More importantly though, how to be a better man. We had fun too. Stan seemed pretty serious about everything, but then a crooked little smile would form and you knew the next line from his mouth would be hilarious. It was as if he thought about it, enjoyed it, and THEN shared it with you. I loved his twisted sense of humor. Thanks Stan for all you have taught me!!! I love and miss you Stan Gallagher!!

My first memory of Uncle Stan and his family was roughly around the time that I was 5 or 6. My family came down to Anchorage from Fairbanks, as was customary at times throughout the year to see family and friends. I remember always staying at my Grandma's house while we were in Anchorage. That memory was, and still is very vivid as I always received nice toys and a Happy Meal or two from McDonald's from Grandma. One day, my parents decided that I was going to spend the night with some people and their kids who lived just up the hill from Grandma's house. I vaguely remember playing with these other children a time or two previously. When my parents left me for the night, I was to say the least, TERRIFIED. I did not know why my parents were leaving me there with these people that I didn't know. It wasn't until the next day, and some consoling, that I found out that the people that my parents left me with were my relatives. They were, (are) my Uncle Stan and Aunt Rhonda, and their kids were, (are) Matt and Roxanne.

As the years passed, I had but just a handful of encounters with Uncle Stan, the most notable of which was when he and I were hanging out in his computer room/office. I remember us talking about the stock market and when to invest into it. We also talked about computers, technology and the direction that those were heading in. His attempt to provide some guidance to my brother was also something I'll never forget.

Thank you to all who have posted comments and provided support through this difficult time. It means a great deal to me and the rest of the Gallagher family.

To all who have written here to express their thoughts, feelings and remembrances about my big brother... Thank You. He holds a more special place now from my earliest memories in our youth to the last time I saw and spoke to him because of the admirable person that he was and the words all of you have written here. Thank You.

Stan, my dear father in law and best true friend,
Not a day has gone by that I don't think of something that I would like to talk to you about. You were my sounding board in this crazy world, and perhaps the only person I could connect with on so many topics. Family, spirituality, the future....
I found myself always saying, "I wish I could talk to Dad about this."
There is a terrible void now. One that could be filled by no one else.
Thank you with all my heart for the path you put me on. It has prepared me and equipped me with a strength that will serve me for the rest of my life. A life that you have forever touched. I will pass on what you have taught me to your grandson.
Your legacy lives in our hearts forever.
All my love my dear friend and father.
Scott
