What a great guy. I loved listening to Stu tell of his railroad experiences. I also enjoyed being in PWS with Stu and Gloria in the Great White. Condolences to the family. Stu was special.

I loved Stu White. He knew me all of my life and was one of many of my Dad's friends that I truly enjoyed talking to. He was one of the last great engineers on the AKRR and boy did I hear many stories of railroading and boating from those two. He will be missed. My deepest sympathies to all of his family.

I just learned of Stewart's passing today and my condolences to the family. I was very young when we met Gloria and Stewart in Whittier. We spent many summer days going on various trips to various beaches for the day. He taught me a lot about trains, and I did think I was really important when he was working, when we took a train from Whittier to Anchorage. I can only send my prayers to all of you. I am sure he is taking my Mom (Inez) on a glorious ride either on the train or one last great fishing trip. With deepest sympathy,
Barbara Houser

Thank you for so many wonderful experiences and memories, Grandpa. Wood working in the garage, fishing on the Great White and the Kenai, hanging out at your house while I recovered from having my tonsils and adenoids removed, visiting with you before and after bunko, and so much more. I miss you. "See you further up the creek."
