Today I am remembering you and missing you Pappa. I hope you are in a place where your body isn't ailing anymore. I miss your stories & helping you put together the gadgets you'd buy on tv. I miss your cooking everyday. I love you!

Stylianos "Stanley"...was always fun to be around,,we looked forward to seeing him when he came to visit the Mackrides family in Northeast Philadelphia ...this was back 40 years in 1970 or so. Stanley always had something interesting to talk about!,,we were all about 16 then and to want to hang around with someone in there mid thirties..you knew he had to be an exciting guy.
Sorry to hear that he has gone on..but I am sure he is still having fun!

Mario (Stylianos), I am very fortunate to have met you. You brought a ray of sunlight into a town that rained all of the time. Thank you for your kindness and generosity that you ALWAYS showed. You will be missed. Until we meet again........

Everyone at the Holy Assumption of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Kenai was saddened to hear that Stylianos recently passed away. Yesterday, Father Thomas delivered a rememberance service in his honor. On many occasions, despite the distance and the pain in his legs, Stylianos would drive all the way from Whittier to attend services in Kenai because he was a devout Christian. At coffee hour, after Divine Liturgy, Stylianos would lovingly tell stories about his children and their accomplishments because he was so proud of them. Our church has a card we would like to send to the family, but we do not have a mailing address. Please let me know where to send it.
