I can hear Sue's laughter from here! What a shining presence she was for all of us here in Maine when she was out East...and what a wonderful time we had when she introduced me to Alaska from her very special eyes! I just learned of her passing, she will be missed by many. She loved life fully, and it loved her back, as did her many family and friends. 'Til we meet again, Sue!

I keep hearing Sue laugh. She was a very special woman. I valued our friendship from the time I was 17. Before that, I thought she was just my mother's friend. And when she and my husband became such good friends, she meant a lot to him too. I cannot believe she is actually not with us, but as long as I hear that laughter, she will not be gone. All my sympathy to all of you.

Thanks all for the kind messages and memories of Mom. Thanks, too, to those that came October 3 to her celebration of life and launched the dozens of balloons into the twilight for her. Earlier that day we gave her ashes to the east wind from the top of Bodenberg Butte viewing Palmer.

Dear Kelly and Family:
We were so very sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother and our dear "Aunt Sue". She was always one of my favorites. We are very grateful for all the fond memories of her visits thru the years. How much she liked Sees Candy and our trip to Palmdale with Mom (Helen Baker) to get
"Krispy Kreme" doughnuts. One I especially remember she was here on St.
Patricks Day and we fixed the traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner she really enjoyed that and talked about it many years afterwards.
We are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers for comfort, strength and peace thru this difficult
time. Our sincere sympathy.
Bless you, our love.

What a wonderful person! My wife and I (Jan), enjoyed our formative teaching careers with Sue ( and the counseling staff) at East Anc. High School. Always a hit in the 'ol faculty lounge and her presence could always be felt by that jovial laughter! ( and sometimes the bird call)
Many fine memories. Our condolences, Rob and Jan Dolan

As a long time friend of Sue I want to offer my sympathy and best regards to the family. I have visited Sue every summer for many years and always enjoyed her feisty manner and deep intelligence. She was a close and dear friend to me and my family when we lived in Anchorage in the late 60s and early 70s. My caring feelings and regards to all her surviving family. Carol Sisson

Dear Kelly and family, our condolences on you mothers passing. I will miss our phone conversations that would generally end up being about my mom and her brother Gordon. Boy she could make me laugh!! She will be missed. Love Jeff and Anja

I will always treasure the memories of Sue. After working together at East we remained friends throughout the years. In my life Sue has been a person of consequence. Please know, Kelly,Dockie, Morgan and Bill that she was loved and admired by those of us she touched in many ways over the years. We should all have a life that well lived, You all have my sincere condolences.

Kelly, your Mother was so full of life and always had a smile and a chuckle. I loved reading her high school annuals with
her and seeing that she
brought fun, as well as stability
to many students' lives. What
a special spirit!
