Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has mysteriously disappeared just three months ago, as Air France Flight 447 did in June 2009.:'(

As an Olympic medallist and Olympic champion, I offer the victims of AF447 and MH370 and their families and friends my deepest, heartfelt condolences, and also offer them my solidarity and friendship.

As an Olympic medallist, travel around the world to compete in the Olympic games, to train, and when I go on vacation. As I have with Air France 447, I have been anguished to the core to hear of the similar, and even more mysterious, disappearance of Malaysian Airlines 370. Malaysia Air Flight 370 is missing, and Malaysia 370's mystery eclipses that of AF447.

I will now also honor and pay tribute to the 239 people aboard Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, and will continue to honor Air France Flight 447 and pay tribute to the 228 aboard AF447, when I represent The United States of America in the Special Olympic Summer World Games and in the regular Summer Olympic Games, as I go for the gold in the Olympics, and will honor the 228 souls on board Air France AF447 and the 239 souls on board Malaysia Airlines MH370.

Now I have not one, but two aviation mysteries to honor and pay tribute to on my journey to the medal podium in the Olympic games. And as I stand on the podium with my gold medal around my neck and clutching my Olympic flower bouquet, the US flag rising, and the National Anthem blaring, I will cry for joy for my glory, shed a couple of sad tears both for Air France Flight 447 and for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, and dedicate my glory to the two aviation mysteries/disasters/tragedies.

May each and every one of the 467 passengers and crew aboard Malaysia Airlines 370 and Air France 447 rest in peace!

REST IN PEACE
