George was one of the greatest! When I got married in 2000 our wedding 1st dance was Tennessee whiskey... I went to the Rialto in Joliet Illinois to see George in 2007. Best concert ever! We missed the show in March at the Rialto this year I'm so sad because I would of loved to see him one last time.... God be with you thru the next few days while you say goodbye to the greatest singer ever...

He will be missed by all. I've sang his songs over the years and people call me George Jones. They say I sound like. No one truly has that George Jones Voice. Debbie Banks Skellanger was trying to get me tickets for his Grand Tour. I called her as soon as I heard. She was devastated. We did love him. Our prayers are with Nancy and the Jones family.

I first listened to George Jones as a kid. My mom and dad played his music a lot. I grew up, fell in love, got married, gave birth to a baby girl, shared heartbreak with George on the jukebox and finally grew up. His voice will always be remembered, his music cherished. Sympathy for your family, may God bless and comfort.

Nancy and family,You are all in my prayers! I am and will always be a fan of Mr.Jones! My grandpa fought in normandy with the army big red one. He was a tough man,He loved George. He died listening to "He stopped loving her today" in his garage. He came back after the war and built a home for his family. He died in 1982.My grandma died in 2011.I now live in that old house. I just want you all to know how much George means to me.He is in Heaven now singing to Jesus.Love ya!

Mr. George Jones was the greatest singer of all time in my book. I have listened to him since I was old enough to know who he was. I remember my dad helping a friend of his do some closet door fixing in Mr. George Jones house up in Jones Country years ago. I had Walk Through This World With Me sung at my wedding. Awesome song. When my dad passed away he loved George Jones porbable more than I did we had The Gospel HIts sung at his funeral. Mr. George Jones will never be replaced in my mind has his voice will carry on with me through his cds. I will never grow tired of listening to him, he also reminds me of my childhood days with me and my dad just listening to him sing. I have lost count of how many times I have seen him in concert and he never let me down always enjoyed his shows. God bless Nancy and the family at this time. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our family's thoughts and prayers are with you. His music was a common bond between generations in our family. Met him in Wheeling, WV in the early 80's and
My daughters were the 4th generations to enjoy his music. Rest Easy George, until we meet again!

George was one of the very first singers I remember listening to as a young child growing up in my Grandma's home. She loved her country music and she loved George Jones and Conway. There will never be anyone who "fills his shoes". My heart aches for you all, and my prayers are with you. I pray God gives you comfort and peace during this time...

One of the least likely places I ever would have expected to hear George Jones was over the house system at Cameron Indoor Stadium at Duke University in Durham, NC back in November of 1986 at my first R.E.M. concert. It's a moment I will never forget, much like the ol' Possum himself. His music transcended genre.
