Lilly was a Class Act, rare as radium whose vibrant, honest, and loving spirit endeared us all. Happily, she seemed to know that Life is not a "dress rehearsal".
Love, and may God be with her wonderful children.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Dearest Minnie, Liza & Peter,
On behalf of my mom, Barbaara Collins, and the entire 'Collins Clan',I send all of you our deepest love and heartfelt symphathy at the passing of your mom. My mom loved Lilly like a sister and would often tell us of the fun they both had traveling around the country opening up new 'Lilly Shop's' and the great people they would meet along the way.
Many of whom became life-long friends all sharing a love for Lilly and of course, the "Lilly!" She was such a fun, vibrant, carefree, beautiful and gracious woman who loved her family and children intensely, her numerous friends and simply living life. She loved to cook, have parties and celebrate something every day!
She really loved traveling across Europe with Enrique and hosting numerous weekend bbq's around the pool where she and Enrique would tell us all of their travels and the fun they had and the funny things that happened filling us up with laughter and the sudden urge to go where they had just been!
For all of us who where lucky enough to know her she had a way of making each of us each feel special, like we were all family and offered a standing invatation every weekend to come to her home for more fun, laughter,a cigar & a game of 'Gin' or two for the men and some backgammon, sun bathing, gossip and frozen Daq's for the gals!
The love my mom had for Lilly was ever-lasting and so,is mine. Please know that we are all thinking of you and are sending our love and comfort to you during this time. Lilly would not have wanted anyone to sit around and cry for her. She would instead throw a party in celebration of her life and the fun she had living it to the fullest! So,"Cheer's Lilly! You're the greatest of them all!"
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
Thanks for making me smile whenever I slip on your patterns. You have left your mark!
To the Pulitzer family:
My condolences for the loss of Lilly. May God's Word strengthen you during this time of mourning. (Isa. 41:10,13)
My closet will always be filled with your wonderful creations! Thank you Miss Pulitzer.

I met Lilly in 1960.....when we both had dark hair....we shared many joys and laughs. The great times will be my memories of a lively friend.
Lilly was my friend. We shared a love of animals. All animals but in particular feral cats. I was introduce to Lilly through an other cat rescuer on the island. I was often invited for Sat morning breakfast which Lilly often made for me. Then we would help her with the animals on her compound. During all that time, I knew I was loved and respected by Lilly, she always made you feel special. we would laugh and catch up.
her love for her family was famous. I will miss you Lilly and I hope all the wonderful times and memories will help Liza, Minnie, and Peter and their kids get through this sad transition. thank you Lilly for a wonderful friendship. >^.^
Dear Liza, Peter, and Minnie,
Lilly was an icon. I will always treasure the influence she had on my life. She was truly a great person and I know she will be missed by many, many people. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time and may God grant you peace and comfort.
May the family find comfort in the hearer of prayer Ps 65:2
The first day I met Lilly was the first day of working for her. She flew into the factory in Miami wearing a blue dashiki Lilly print shirt, white pants, daisy sandals, her hair tied up in a scarf and a huge Aquamarine ring on her finger. She had brought in a big basket of food she had prepared for our lunch. We all sat around a crowded desk in one of the offices and I can still hear her hearty, heartfelt laugh. She knew all of us by name and were invited several times a year up to her PB home. She made chicken salad taste like lobster and treated all of us like family. Each of us would have prints bearing our names. That was in 1983. I have never forgotten the spirit that was Lilly. My heart is breaking but I was so blessed to have known her. Thank you Liza, Minnie and Peter for sharing your mom with us.
The first time we had a great chat, you
were so unassuming, yet polished. We
encountered each other many times. Lily
was always kind, peaceful, and FUN....
Her family has these same qualities,
Lily is amongst us all forever...!
To the family of Ms. Lily Pulitzer..
Trust in God and the family to provide the strength and support you need in your time of grief.

What a accomplished proper lady. To the family may God be with you in this time of sorrow
A shining star that will shine forevermore! A real person, who suffered, and knew hardship and loss but who realized that life was a blessing and loved everyone equally ,whatever their status in life.
My Sympathy goes out to the family. My mom passed away last May at the age of 99. It is not easy to loose your rock. I think about her every day. I'm sure you will do the same God Bless
Thank you, Lilly, for the color that defined your life and Palm Beach style for generations. Heaven was painted today with your brilliant palette.
Please accept my condolences. May the peace of God that excels all thought comfort the family during this difficult time.
Lilly was one of a kind , she opened her home and heart to all. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She also loved her cats
She will be missed
Please know that Lillian brought a lot of happiness to those she touched. When a grandchild was ill, I tutored him for a short period. One day Lillian came in, offered to make sandwiches and fresh hot coffee. Then, she sat with us on the patio to enjoy her own treats. It was such a pleasure to visit with her and listen to her stories.
May she rest in peace. May those who worked with her continue to use their creative energies just like Lillian.
She is probably adding color to the angels' wings.
Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.
We all look forward to the fulfillment of this wonderful promise found at 1 Cor 15:26. When death will be brought to nothing.
My sincere condolences to the family. May the God of all comfort grant you the strength to endure at this time of deep sorrow.
Lilly was one of the kindest, smartest, most generous people who I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She and Peter stood up for my parents when they married, she welcomed us into her home and I even had the joy of working for her! She will be sorely missed and my sympathies go out to her children. Sherry Fleming (daughter of Lynn and Dick Russell)
I just saw an angel w/pastel wings--
many of my daughter loved Lily-she had
many things lily--her dogs collar-her

had a nice lily neck tie....."She made
We know that God is the true source of life. It's by means of him that we see light. Lilly was a source of light that shined through her fashion.-Ps.36:9
I was a teen when I saw Jackie Kennedy in a lovely Lilly Pulitzer dress, I loved it. The dress stayed in my memory and when I became a working young lady during my University years, I could finally buy a Lilly Pulitzer dress. I felt so special. That is what Lilly Pulitzer did with her clothes, she made women feel part of a special world. RIP Lady Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau.
I had the privilege of meeting Lilly and being invited to her home for a brunch/fashion show in April 2005. Gracious does not even begin to describe her. She was warm, friendly and happy. A few months later, Barbie came out with a Lilly Pulitzer doll that I ordered for my daughter. Mad that I didn't buy one of Lilly's books for her to autograph while I was at her house, I wrote her a letter explaining the situation (hoping she would remember the function) and asked if she would be as kind as to autograph the box that contained the Barbie. She promptly called my home and left a message indicating she would be happy to do so. Just like that - no questions, no problems. I have always treasured that doll and Lilly's lively spirit. I will miss her spark. My deepest sympathies to her family.
We are sorry for the loss of Mrs Lilly Pulitzer . During the next couple of days months and years allow yourself to be comforted by God .
Our deepest sympathy to all your family . May the God of love and peace be with your dear family in the days ahead.May Lilly fond memories stay close to your family hearts .

I saw a Martha Stewart show where everyone in the audience was wearing Lilly and I fell in love. I remember growing up poor in the south during the 60's and saw girls wearing Lilly but had no idea what it even was, today I have several dresses and love them. A quote I read some where that she said was Lifes's a Party...Dress like it. Go bless her and thanks for the beautiful designs.
Life and death are one, and the entity of our existence is eternal, persisting throughout past, present and future. The setting sun, radiant with joy, gives proof of its undiminished power and at the same time offers a promise of a bright tomorrow. Bringing our lives to a wonderful, satisfying close guarantees us the path to happiness throughout eternity.
Paying homage to Ms. Pulitzer's memory today in a pink, white and green tie. I receive more compliments on this tie, thank any other I own. Thank you Lilly for yesterday, today and tomorrow.
I absolutely adored her clothing. I always wanted to meet her. Her story served as and inspiration to me. I especially enjoy the Juice Stand that keeps me up to date on what's going on in Lilly Land, a place where all princesses ( no matter how old we are) can escape and dream but most of all travel in color along life's journey

Condolences to her friends and family. I'm sure the flags in Palm Beach will be at half-mast today. I've collected her clothes for years...I got married in a Lilly dress. She was a genuine inspiration and will be missed.
Whatever people thought of Lilly Pulitzer, she was one of a kind, and yes, I did buy her fashion items. She always loved Spring and bright colors, and from what I read about her, she was a fun person, even controversial. I will treasure the things I did buy, that she designed or created, and will miss her fun use of colors, and her style. Another designer gone to that great colorful pallette in the sky, to be recreated, by the "Author". She will be missed!
My thoughts and prayers go out to Liza, Minnie and Peter Jr.
What an interesting and fascinating life!!!! Rest in peace.
Thank you for coloring the world.
Lilly got me through my breast cancer and she didnt even know it. She brought color into my life when my life was dark. Her clothing was iconic-it was her attitude: "Style isn't just about what you wear, it's about how you live." Lilly taught me to live a colorful life regardless of your circumstances. Fly home safe, comfort and joyful memories to her family-thanks for sharing her with us.
You made my summer amazing .with your dresses

My deepest condolences to the family, friends, and the world in general for the loss of a brilliant visionary and style icon. Lily Pulitzer defined my childhood via my mother and her mark is permanently embedded on my life as well as the lives of many others. I think in a lot of ways I myself would not have elected to embark on a career in fashion if not for her influence. We are all better for having the vibrancy, print, and color that Ms Pulitzer delivered to all of us.

We share our sympathies with Lilly's family. What comfort it must be to know of the color and joy she brought to the world -- and certainly to our family of four pink and green bedecked little girls. With much gratitude, Roni Moore Neumann
I first fell in love with all things Lilly at the age of 4, when I would go shopping with my Dad for his latest "crazy" golf pants. When my daughter was born in 2005, there was no question that her name would be Lilly, named after someone I had never met, but greatly admired. My sincere condolences to her friends and family. Heaven just got a very colorful angel.
