My heart breaks to hear we lost this most gentle and sincere man. He always had a genuine smile to those he greeted. The Lord must of needed this gentle soul by his side to lighten up another corner in heaven.
Lord Bless those left behind with the love he had so shared with us all.

Long ago in the early 60's Don and I repaired a sewer lift station at HAFB in front of the Hospital. Now this was a very deep hole in which we had to removed old pumps and piping and replace with new. Don was the welder and I was the fitter. Don and I had a very good time working on this thing. Every day was different. They wouldnt let us eat at the cafe on base, so the Boss would bring us lunch from Lesters every day. quess we stinked very bad. that hole was so bad with gas that when we used the torch or welder you could heard the gas rumble up the sewer pipes, and the prettest blue glow you ever saw. Don and I did a lot together during that time and he was a fun person to be around.. Melvin Horton
