Our condolences to all of Fred's family and extended family, and friends. Fred was a man of character and integrity. The effort of the down winders will not be the same without him, but it will go forth. May the Lord give all who are grieving, Fred, peace and comfort during these difficult days. Celebrate Fred life every time you consider the man he was to his family, friends, and his community. Shalom, Peace.

To Kathy, Fred's Children and Grandchildren and Fred's brothers and sisters, I have been stunned by Fred's passing. What a true loss. In working with Fred and Kathy on the down winders issue I had gained a true friendship/kinship that meant a lot to me. I want to thank you Kathy for sharing Fred with me and his community. I know it took a lot of his time and attention. I found Fred to be devoted and a man of true integrity. He wanted so many good things for his family and community. He was a man of action and compassion always willing to help where he could. He was a man of intellect and determination. He sought to make the world a better place for everyone. He was a man of character and conviction. I found Fred to be many things but I most enjoyed his zest for life, his energy and his joy, and his sense of humor that made difficult situations a little easier. I don't know how the Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium will go on without Fred. We had so much yet to do. We will continue our fight and it will be in Fred's honor and memory. I know Fred had a profound effect on his family and I can only hope you the members of his family know that he had a far reaching and profound impact on the lives of many people. God Speed my friend Fred. Collectively we will get the job done and from heaven I know you will work on our behalf. I will pray for peace and God's Blessing for Fred's entire family.
