He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children Sean, Kim, Lea, Ian and Michalle; stepson Neel; and eight grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mike's name.
The McLeskey family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at PCS.

I worked with Mike at the Daily News. He was such a kind man to me and always had a great story to tell. Curmudgeon? Maybe, but he was like another grandfather/father to me. I'll never forget waiting at the courthouse for the results of the presidential election in 2004. We were on completely opposite sides of the election, but we still had a great time. I miss you, Mike.
