To the Griffin family;

On behalf of the Board of Directors and members of the San Antonio Alamo Chapter of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society, we express our deepest sympathy to your family with the passing of your beloved Maj. Thomas "Tom" Griffin.

Tom was a true American hero and his life will forever leave an indelible imprint on the aviation history of our military services. We offer a final salute to his memory and a lifetime of service to his family, his many friends and to his country.

I was honored to have met Tom in 1995. And then my sons got to meet him and they were so moved by him and what he shared. Fly on brother!
