To Margaret and family what wonderful memories of love shared. Take care.

To all the Piringer children, Your Dad was such a wonderful man. I spent many hours in your home in College Park. He would tease me endlessly on my pronunciation of butterflies. I still think of him whenever I see one. Please keep all his love and laughter in your hearts.

Mr. Piringer was a wonderful man. I had so much fun while he was teaching me to take care of plants. He was a wonderful teacher. I will miss him very much.

I was saddened to learn of Dr. Piringer's passing. My sincerest condolences to his family. I met Dr. Piringer when my mother, Audrey Griffith (who passed away in the mid-1980s), was secretary to Drs. Piringer, Downs and Borthwick at the USDA Plant Industry Station in the 1950s and '60s. Dr. Piringer always had time for me, and I deeply appreciated that. He was a good, good man.
