Dear Betty Lou,
Carl and I send our deepest sympathy to you and the family. ALex was a dear friend and an extremely gifted legislator. Alex was loved and respected by everyone in Trenton on both sides of the aisle, He was always willing to listen and always well prepared for what was on his docket. He was unfailingly kind and ernest in his devotion to serve his constituents and the state of NJ. He was a great guy and he made a difference. He will be sorely missed. Sue and Carl Ostergaard

Condolences to the family of Alex DeCroce. It was indeed my distinct pleasure to have worked with Alex when he chaired the Assembly Transportation Committee. Working for the Office of Legislative Services, I had the opportunity, both as a financial analyst and for a short while as committee aide, to assist Alex and his aide, Melverne Cooke, in the various legislative renewals and changes made to the Transportation Trust Fund. Also, his sense and concern for the need to repair and maintain bridges in our state was readily apparent and translated into bridge bond proposals which easily won voter approval. His steadfast support and knowledge of the state's transportation system will be difficult to replace.

Again my condolences.

Betty Lou, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that your memories of Alex will be of comfort and bring you peace. I remember Alex to be a dedicated and sincere man with an intense need to serve his community and state. To say Alex will be missed seems to be such an understatement but there just are no words.

Dear Betty Lou and Theresa,
I had the pleasure of working for Alex in the Parsippany Legislative Office for a short while. He was very dedicated and I remember when he introduced the Crime Victims Bill Of Rights legislation and it was signed into law. He had a soft heart and he will be sorely missed by those who knew him and worked with him. My sincere sympathy to all the family.
