Women like Alice Davis were the for front of Black women participating in games such as the Olympic that's something to be proud of. At this time may the family find peace in the Scriptures 2Cor 1: 2,3, may these words comfort your family.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a well-respected and renown woman. My petition is that God comforts all those who already miss Alice's presence and grant you peace during this difficult time. May the promise of endless life free of sickness and death prove to be comforting to you. Cherish the memories, and you have many pleasant ones to cherish.

Not long after saying this, Jesus met a funeral procession coming out of the Israelite city of Nain. The dead young man was the only child of a widow. On seeing her extreme grief, Jesus was moved with pity. So, addressing the corpse, he commanded: “Young man, I say to you, Get up!” And the man sat up, and Jesus gave him to his mother.—Luke 7:11-17.
