Barbarita Gallegos age 97, died on Friday, February 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Agapito and Juanita Trevino on Dec. 4, 1920 in Falfurrias, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband; Guadalupe Gallegos, a daughter; Anita Garcia, 2sons; Roel Gallegos, Jose Gallegos. Barbarita worked for many years at P&S Hospital as a CNA, where she made many friends.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, Chalupa, Cards. She enjoyed making Tamales, Pan de Polvo, and cookies for all her grandkids and great-grandchildren, which called her "Wela Bobbie" or "Ama". She also enjoyed spending her free time giving advise & guidance to her family. She was a devote Roman Catholic and prayed the Rosary daily.
Survivors: Five daughters: Viola (Chacho) Hinojosa, Dalia (Merced) Martinez, Irma (George) Benavides, Ida (Tony) Joslin, Rosalinda Wilcox.
Two sons: Guadalupe (Noelia) Gallegos Jr. and Johnny Gallegos.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, Feb. 04, 2018 from 4 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited that same evening at 7 p.m. in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, Texas. Mass will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Alice, Texas.
Burial will follow in the New Collins Cemetery.
