I had the pleasure of meeting Bonnie, and working with her when "Pippa" first came out. She was truly a sweet person, and a woman of enormous talent. My thoughts and prayers for serenity to her family and friends.

Bonnie, you made the world a more interesting and beautiful place. You will be missed by many, including me.

Bonnie was without a doubt one of the sweetest and most talented people I met while I was a graduate student studying paleontology in Ann Arbor. She was always willing to help me with figures for presentations and manuscripts, and I feel privileged that I was able to collaborate with her on a reconstruction of a fossil whale that was the subject of my Ph.D. research. I also fondly remember discussing our love of dogs and how we would often bring our dogs by to say hello when they were in the building. Bonnie was a gentle soul and will be dearly missed!

Bonnie and I worked together at the University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology for nearly 25 years - she had a gentle and kind spirit - as an artist she saw life from a different perspective than most - I learned a great deal from her view of the world. She was also one of only a few people I ever knew who had a pet bat, a remarkable relationship between human and animal that lasted nearly 20 years. I will miss Bonnie very much.

Bonnie and I started at the same time in the museum, and worked together for 25 years--she was unquestionably the nicest person in the building, and a great colleague and friend. I will miss her sense of humor, sharing pfeffernusse cookies with her around the holidays, her skill and wisdom at scientific illustration, and most of all the quiet, kind way she touched the lives of so many of us. She will be deeply missed.
