Fox, Dean F. Ann Arbor, MI Age 73, went to be home with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, May 17, 2018, following a two year courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 12, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Robert Edison & Mildred (Steyer) Fox. On May 31, 1969 he married Christel Johnson of Princeton, New Jersey, and was a loving and faithful husband and father. Mr. Fox accepted Christ as his Savior as a child and was a long-time member of Dexter Gospel Church where he served on the Welcome Team, as well as assisting with Daily Vacation Bible School. He was an Eagle Scout at the age of 13 and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School. He received an MBA degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan. Mr. Fox was a US Army veteran and served in Vietnam in 1970 and 1971. He was a CPA, having passed the exam on his first attempt. After working as a CPA for five years with a Big 4 CPA firm, he joined a predecessor of CitiMortgage. He retired from CitiMortgage, Farmington Hills, in 2000 as a Corporate Vice President. He previously served as Director of Audit and Controller. During his 25 years in mortgage banking, he was selected to be chairman of several committees of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, and he was a member of the Governor's Michigan Efficiency Task Force in 1976. Mr. Fox enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states and more than 50 countries. While a college student, he was an exchange student to France. He also enjoyed playing golf with his family. He is survived by Christel, his wife of nearly 49 years, their twin sons, David Fox of Ann Arbor and Peter (Deena) Fox of Southfield, his brother Robert E. Fox II, nephew Rob (Alena) Fox, niece Heather (Rodney) Williams, and cousins Christine (Jim) Profeta, Wayne Steyer, Rick (Kathy) Fox, Jim (Cathy) Fox, Tom Fox, and Linda Bauer.A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 26, at 11:00 AM at Dexter Gospel Church with Pastor Dan Robelen officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 5:00-9:00 PM at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea and on Saturday, May 26, 10:00-11:00 at Dexter Gospel Church. A luncheon will follow the service. A private burial will be held at Harwick Cemetery, a family cemetery in Mattawan, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dexter Gospel Church, 2253 Baker Rd, Dexter MI 48130.

Dearest Christel, David and Peter: I am so sorry for the passing of Dean. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He will be greatly missed by all of us but know this - he will be waiting for us in Heaven. This is the great news because we know that Dean was a true born-again Christian. Praise the Lord!
