His wisdom is a legacy which will forever remain. Great is the loss, but grateful is my heart for having known him.

Though I am hesitant to share that I was seeing a therapist over the last few years I feel a duty to appreciate the man who got me through a tough period in my life- my therapist, Gary. I have mixed feelings; confusion and great sadness for his colleagues and family and for the loss of a professional who understood, affirmed, supported and challenged me. He was so helpful to me. I will miss him .
My deepest sympathies to his family and coworkers.

Gary was a valued, long time colleague at St. Joe's Chelsea and for years before when we were Chelsea Community Hospital. With his skills and compassion he helped countless people. I found his funeral service to be comforting as it addressed the idea of Gary being a wounded healer, and we are all wounded healers in some ways. Gary and all of you who love him will be held in my heart going forward.
