Not to be overlooked was Bill's dedication to his long-time employer, Eastern Michigan University. To paraphrase, "Show me a man proud of and a fan of his workplace and you will see a positive influence on his fellow employees." In short, "Bill was interested in Eastern beyond a paycheck." Always up-beat and smiling and I don't think he later kicked the dog. Rest in peace, my dear friend and co-worker.

Bill was a mentor when I was a novice staff member at EMU.
I loved the time "Uncle" Bill and I spent together talking, laughing and watching baseball games! He was a great man!
