Charles Montgomery Obituary

MONTGOMERY, CHARLES K. Chelsea, Michigan
Age 61, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was born August 17, 1951 in Royalton, KY, the son of Hade and Vera Vivian (Arnett) Montgomery. Charlie worked for Malloy Lithographing for 43 years. He was an avid collector of case knives, loved photography, woodworking, and solving puzzles. Charlie loved a good challenge and enjoyed helping others. Survivors include his life companion of many years, Susan Bareis; a son Christopher and his fiancee Melody of Canton; two sisters, Dorothy (Al Hartman) of Covington, KY, Eula (Lloyd) Eddy of Chelsea; a brother, James Montgomery of Manchester; many nieces and nephews; and "the girls", Sophie and Daisy Mae. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 12, 11:00am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Rev. Ann Salyer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chelsea. The family will receive friends Sunday 1-4 and 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Chelsea Community Hospital.

So sorry for Charlie's early passing. I remember him as a quiet, gentle and polite young man. We graduated from CHS together in 1969. I have not seen him since then but do remember him fondly. I am sure he's with the angels. My sympathies to your family and friends, he was a lovely man.
