Harold Staebler Obituary

STAEBLER, HAROLD R. Chelsea, Michigan
Age 88, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Towsley Village, Chelsea, MI. He was born December 19, 1924 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of the late Reuben and Clara (Luckhart) Staebler. Harold was a custodian for Gelman Sciences in Ann Arbor. He retired in 1991. Member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter. He married Erma Bollinger in Washtenaw County and she preceded him in death on Jan. 14, 2000. Surviving is a sister, Milda (Clarence) Kremkow of Shelby Township; several nieces and nephews, Allen (Joan) Kremkow, Gerald Kremkow, Eileen (Alton) Landerschier, Kathy (Paul) Frisinger, Mary Ann (Rick) Rickerman, David (Judy) Staebler, and Nicki Staebler of OR. Harold was preceded in death by a sister, Leonora Staebler and nephew, Paul Staebler. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, at 1:00 PM at Cole Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Mark Porinsky officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn, Dexter. The family will receive friends Saturday, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Dexter.

I was so sad to hear that "Uncle Harold" had passed away. I am not directly related to him but a close family friend. I worked with him at Gelman many years ago. Everyday, he greeted me with a smile and a friendly hello. He was a wonderful, kind, hard working man. I'm sure he's in Heaven and at peace. My deep condolences to his family.
