I woke up this morning with a small legal issue, and thought, "Oh man, I gotta call Chuck!" Imagine my horror in learning that he had indeed passed away. Chuck was such a gentle soul that our family was proud to call friend. I will always have fond memories of the Dexter Cubs baseball games & him teaching my son what it took to be a good sport. Rest on knowing that Ed will carry on your legacy and that you will be forever remembered. We lost a good one way too soon! Ian, come see us!!!

I was looking for the old Rugby footballers -going way back when. My father coached the team in the late 60's through mid 70's (I believe). There was a core group that spent many hours in our basement (bar) drinking Strohs beer out of silver mugs that mom
and dad won in Manila racing their international 110. Dad played his trombone, mom cooked up a storm for all the hungry college boys and the kids quietly and sheepishly removed the cans to the trash on Sunday nights. Chuck was one of them. I remember him well as one of the core group of good guys who loved my parents. Tom Raboine, Cleland Child, Bruce Kingsbury are the ones that come to mind, but there were others too. I remember him as one of the boys who got dad's hovercraft going albeit dangerously and out of control on Maple Blvd (now Eisenhower). And so in my search to let those know my mother passed away on Jan 10th (dad, "Doc") preceded her in 2011, I was shocked to hear of Chuck's untimely death. I am sorry I did not know sooner. My heart goes out to your family. It is a loss that those of us who knew him and of him. My memories of those times are indelible: the games, the tournaments, the parties...the Blind Pig, Frasiers, Mr Floods....yup, those are good memories....

I cannot even count the times over the past 20+ years Mr Drukis helped various members of my family. He was never too busy to take phone calls and always had an answer or took the time to find the answer if he didnt know no matter how insignificant the question. I am grateful for the opportunity to have known him and benefitted from his kindness and experience.

Since learning of his passing a few days ago, I have shared with any one who will listen about the impact this total stranger, who I called on to be my attorney at a very difficult time, had on my life and that of my children.Warm, professional, ethical, sincere...and funny. I hurt for those who he held close because he meant so much to those who knew him so little.

You are greatly missed.I was a client and only knew him professionally. He was always there when I needed him and always went above and beyond for me. I was deeply saddened to learn of Charles' passing. We grew up together and both attended North Shore Elementary from first to eighth grade and then the same high school. He was, of course, always a diligent student and at the top of the class. I remember that he had a creative sense of humor. We saw each other again at our 20-year high school reunion in 1989.

We reconnected a year and a half ago when I needed advice on a legal matter in Michigan and found him on the internet. He was very generous with his time, a great listener, and helped me a great deal. I will never forget his good nature and generous spirit.

We were so sorry to hear about Chuck's passing. Our entire family has such fond memories of Chuck and baseball. He was such an enthusiastic coach, so dedicated. A passionate leader. He will be missed. Fondly, The Puuri family
