John was a devout Catholic who attended Mass every evening at St. Francis of Assisi parish in Ann Arbor in the mid 1980s. He prayed the Rosary after the Mass and discussed current events outdoors afterwards with parishioners. He was a loyal son of the Church.

I remember John as an avid reader. He had a good sense of humor and I will miss him a lot!
