He will much missed at the Ann Arbor VA Dental Service. I'm sorry for your loss of a very dear man, Barb.

I have had the honor of knowing this great man when I took over the POW Support Group in 1994. We took trips together to the UP and other locations to meet with other POW's to help them start a POW Support Group and apply for earned benifits though the VA. He and his bride Barb were both active in the POW program. John was such a help to so many others plus told his POW experiences that helped other POW's open up and talk which brought healing to their mental and emotional conditions. He was a humble man that carried the weight of his combat experiences but told his story to honor others and the love he had for his USA. Much could be written about John Wranesh but at the end of his story one would feel proud and honored to have known such a hero as the tears run down ones face. I have lost a friend but I found in him many wonderful memories.....May you feel and know the peace and love of God as HE welcomes you home.

As others have said, it was a pleasure, and an honor, to work with John at Townsend and Bottum!! He was truly a remarkable man, in such a quiet and unassuming way. John would always stop to say hello and I will never forget his kindness. He told me his stories of being a P.O.W. and I just never could imagine what that must have been like for him! I have always had such tremendous respect for John, and I always will. God bless you John, and thank you for your service to our country. You were truly a gift to all of us who knew you!

Enjoyed working with this wonderful man at Townsend and Bottum, Inc. We often went ice skating at Vet's Park in lieu of lunch. Will always remember his time as a POW. Thanks for your service to our country and God rest your soul, Comrade.

Mrs Wranesh, John, Mike and Katie, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband and father. I didn't know him well but it sounds like he lived a remarkable life of helping others. Thinking of you, Kit Chesky White

It was a pleasure to get to know John and Barb while living at the Cedars of Dexter. Also, getting to know his 3 wonderful children who took such great care of their dad. We will miss you John.

John was a friend of mine at T&B Computing and I can think of no more fitting words than "He was a humble man always thinking of others before himself." John will be missed.
