My thoughts and prayers are with you, Lynne and Ryan. Ken was so lucky to have you both.
I was honored to get to know Ken later in life. The year after he left home, I was born, so we did not share a childhood at all. I was number 10 of 11 children and he was number 1. One of my fondest memories is when he came to visit me in Eaton Rapids. He brought me a huge jar of honey. I looked at it and thought, it will take me a year at least to eat all that honey. It was gone in just a few months. We talked regulary by phone. We shared many interests about simple living, homesteading and off the grid living. He told me so much about our family history, things I never knew about the farm and our uncle Arthur. He seemed to me to be a wonderful husband and father. He was a generous man who always invited Jon and I to stay at his place when we went to Michigan. We so enjoyed his hospitality. He was a gentle , nice person and I will miss him.
