Kathy,
We were so saddened to learn of Leo's passing while reading the Fall 2017 issue of CEE Review. Our condolences to you and the family. Just reading the other entries, we can see he will be missed in many, many ways.

We have never met you we're sorry to say. Paul was Leo's CE classmate and graduated in 1965. During the summer of 1963 at Camp Davis, Paul and Leo became friends. Paul assisted Leo in his light weight concrete testing at Willow Run over the period 1963 to 1965. (A nice way to earn a few extra dollars for Paul.) Paul took a job with Chevron in California after graduating, met Nancy and married. Paul and Nancy returned to Michigan regularly to visit family and friends including Leo. On one occasion, we remember dinner with Leo's parents with a delicious perch pie dessert accompanied with an equally delicious dessert wine.

For reasons unknown, we stopped seeing Leo after several years, but still wondered how he was doing. We agree Leo had a knack for dance, sport, and making friends. He prepared well for his chosen career and appears to have been very successful with his Elastizell endeavors. This came as no surprise.

Sincerely, Paul and Nancy Seligman 13 November 2017

Kathy, I just now learned of Leo's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. My getting to know Leo through dance and Dance Focus was so much fun and so memorable! He was talented, playful, and generous beyond words. He would so enthusiastically take a elementary school stage in his red, high top tap shoes after just flying in from some business trip. He lit up when he performed and the kids loved him. We all did and still do. Peace to you in the coming days. Love, Connie Velin

I only met Leo by email and phone, while writing a story for U-M about Camp Davis. He was so kind, so helpful, so joyful when recalling his favorite moments from the late 1950s and 1960s at Camp Davis, and "being on my own and interacting with everyone at camp from all ages." Leo was certainly loved. I send heartfelt sympathy to Leo Legatski's family and friends.
