Maggie--so beloved and missed by so many. Thank you for all you did for so many people and especially for Veterans of the Game Tailgate. I know that you will have God's Marching Band whipped into shape quickly. God Bless and cover you and your family in His Grace.

Dear Jerry, Craig, and Julia,
We are devastated at hearing about the loss of Maggie. We considered all of you great friends, even though we haven't seen each other in quite a while. Maggie was an amazing woman, always smiling and full of kind words for everyone. She could multi-task like no one else. When she managed Craig's and our son Ben's hockey team, we never had to worry about schedules or hotels or places to eat. She also managed the Michigan Marching Band at the same time. It would make most people's heads swim, but Maggie handled it in stride. It's true, she had an answer or solution to any question or obstacle that ever came along, and she tackled such things with an obvious selflessness not inherent in most. Maggie was one of those rare people that, upon meeting you for the first time, made you feel like she had known you forever. We will never forget Maggie and her kind soul, and are so grateful to have known her. Our condolences to your whole family.

Jerry and Craig, I am heartbroken for the loss of your dear wife and mom. Maggie was a wonderful and gentle lady. A great neighbor and friend too. She was always friendly and kind. She will be missed. I will miss her warm waves as she drove past on her way to U of M to be with the organization she loved so much ... The Michigan Marching Band , who will miss her so very much too. She is making heaven an even more amazing place with her presence. RIP Maggie and GO BLUE!

My heart goes out to the whole family. I have such fond memories of living next door on Nash and going to St. Alexis. We were born three days apart and had birthday parties together!
May she rest in heavenly peace.

Jerry, Craig and Maggie's family, It was such a shock when I heard about Maggie on Saturday morning. As many have noted, she was a special person, who meant a lot to a lot of people.....the Chelsea hockey community, the MMB, her family and friends. She had a beautiful smile and a warm heart. You all have my deepest sympathy.

Jerry and Craig, there's no words to express how sad I was to hear of Maggie's leaving us. I'm so happy that my memories are the best and make me smile! They go way back to our "adventures" to the Bowl games with Eric Becher! Back to the time of 4 staff and no Elbel Club! We made "new" things happen and I'm quite sure gave Eric more than one gray hair! The best was when Maggie was forced into the half-time performance at the Rose Bowl when she had to run behind the flags to pick up their discarded flags and drop new ones. When running out of time she decided to take a shortcut that took her under Eric's ladder! I, always, wonder how she did it! ...and remember the look on Eric's face as we grabbed on and held that ladder!! The beginning of the MMB we know today. Thank you, Maggie for so much.I will see you Fri., but, not for the lunch we planned. RIP.

Maggie's memory will survive many years with the students, parents, and Band Directors she had the pleasure of knowing. The loss for her family, friends and band family will linger for awhile. Peace to all who who knew her and already miss her beyond words. Now, when I think of Maggie, I hear Carl saying, "You can't have one without the other..." It IS great.. to be... a Michigan Wolverine and may that be a strength to all in the MMB community.
