MARLIN AND DOROTHY HAVE BEEN RESIDENTS OF FOREST BROOKE FOR DECADES. THEY WERE TWO OF THE LONGEST LIVING RESIDENTS OF THE AREA. WE WERE NEIGHBORS OF THEIRS SINCE 1965.

MY WIFE DORISA AND KNEW THEM FOR MANY YEARS AS WELL, AND ALWAYS WERE IN AWE OF MARLIN'S ABILITY TO BE IN SO MANY FITNESS SITUATIONS. COME RAIN OR SHINE, HE ALWAYS RODE HIS BIKE TO WORK AT THE U OF M. IN ADDITION, HE ALSO ENGAGED IN SWIMMING AT OUR FOREST BROOKE POOL, PLAYED VOLLEYBALL WITH MANY OF HIS NEIGHBORS. IN ADDITION, HE WAS A DEVOTED BALLOONIST, AND HE AND HIS SON WOULD OFTEN TAKE TO THE AIR IN THEIR BALOON.

OUR WHOLE FAMILY WILL MISS HIM, AND WE WISH DOROTHY AND FAMILY THE VERY BEST IN THESE SAD TIMES.

MAY GOD BLESS THEM ALWAYS,

I knew Marlin through ASI and though we never sailed together, I enjoyed talking to him at our dinner meetings. He always asked about my father, Nick Alimpich; they knew each other through IEEE decades ago. My condolences to his family. Marlin will be missed.
