I was sad to learn of Paul's passing. Old memories shared by his sisters, along with the nice obituary, provides only a small window into his life, which sounded like a wonderful, fulfilled life among family and friends. My sincerest condolences.

I am so sad to see Paul had passed on the day of his funeral because I would have traveled back to say goodbye to one of my closest friends in Dexter. Paul and I were especially close our senior year, we worked together at U of M Hospital, GMC Hydramatic, and School Tech the years after graduation.

We drifted apart over the years but I always considered Paul a close friend.

Good bye good friend..........

As the Crews kids grew older and started families of our own, we may have grown apart in physical distance, but always held each other close in our hearts. Paul was an integral part of our family of ten kids. I also remember some of the exploits we had with Paul. He was especially close with our sisters, Pam and Bonnie. Paul and I had many hour long telephone conversations reminiscing about the childhood we shared. As he grew into his teens, he was a standout athlete in track. He was especially adept as a hurdler. I can remember seeing him practice jumping high hurdles in the back yard before many meets. After he graduated from high school, he served his country by joining the Michigan National Guard. He spent six weeks of basic training at Fort Ord, CA specializing as a driver mechanic with the Ann Arbor Unit. Even though Paul was a quiet introverted man, he had many friends and acquaintances. He worked several jobs until he found his niche with the Ann Arbor School System. Among them were positions at the Hydromatic Plant in Ypsilanti and as a machine repair apprentice at NSK Corp., Ann Arbor. I was proud to call Paul my brother and will always remember him as loving and caring and will always miss him - Evelyn
